DOLPHIN & TURTLE REEF SAFARI

Set off on a scenic Mamanuca ocean adventure with Dulcinea Charters Fiji.

Cruise towards the famous surf island neighbours of Namotu and Tavarua, known for their beautiful blue-water views, surf breaks, and reef surroundings.

Along the way, keep your eyes peeled as we search for spinner dolphins gliding through the water. We will also look for turtles around those two islands, where nature allows.

Dolphins and turtles are wild animals, so sightings are never guaranteed. Their presence, behaviour, and location are outside Dulcinea Charters’ control, but the search is part of the adventure.

After the safari, enjoy a snorkel on the barrier reef, where conditions allow. Depending on the current, tide, visibility, and sea conditions on the day, Dulcinea Charters will endeavour to snorkel at Tavarua Marine Reserve or another suitable reef location selected by the Captain and Crew.

This tour is perfect for guests wanting a scenic offshore adventure with surf island views, wildlife spotting, reef life, ocean colour, and a proper Mamanuca memory to take home.

What to Expect

• Check in 30 minutes before departure at the location shown on your booking details.
• Cruise out towards the surfing islands of Namotu and Tavarua.
• Search for spinner dolphins along the way.
• Look for turtles around the surf break area, where nature allows.
• If dolphins or turtles are seen, enjoy watching them from the vessel.
• Snorkel on the barrier reef, with Tavarua Marine Reserve used where current and conditions allow.
• Return by boat after the activity.

Departure is subject to a minimum of ten adult fares.

Dolphin and turtle sightings are not guaranteed. Dolphins and turtles are wild animals, and their presence, behaviour, and location are outside Dulcinea Charters’ control.

The final route, timing, reef stop, snorkel location, and activity may change based on weather, tide, visibility, current, sea conditions, marine life activity, guest comfort, and safety assessment on the day.

Depending on current conditions, Dulcinea Charters will endeavour to snorkel at Tavarua Marine Reserve or another suitable barrier reef location.

Snorkelling, swimming, or reef stops are subject to conditions and may be amended or cancelled if unsuitable.

Guests must follow the Captain and Crew instructions at all times.

Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

Guests must not attempt to touch, feed, chase, disturb, or enter the water with dolphins or turtles unless part of an approved and controlled activity.

Guests must not stand on coral, touch coral, disturb marine life, feed fish, collect shells or marine creatures, or damage the reef environment.

Snorkel gear is not included. Guests may bring their own gear or hire gear separately, subject to availability.

Payments & Fees

For online bookings and online payments, a 1.9% Rezdy booking fee and a 4% credit card surcharge apply.

These fees are added at checkout and are not included in the advertised tour price unless otherwise stated.

Any booking fees, credit card fees, payment processing fees, or bank surcharges are non-refundable once paid.

All fares are in Fijian Dollars and include government taxes unless otherwise stated.

Bookings are not confirmed until the required payment or deposit has been received.

Cancellation Policy

Please organise travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, illness, travel disruption, or weather-related concerns.

Cancellations more than 24 hours before departure may receive a full refund of the tour fare paid, less non-refundable booking, card, bank, and payment processing fees.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of departure, late arrivals, and no-shows are non-refundable.

Medical cancellations may be considered with a valid medical certificate and are subject to management approval. Approved medical refunds may be up to 50% of the tour fare paid, less non-refundable booking, card, bank, and payment processing fees.

Cancellations by Dulcinea Charters

Tours may be amended, rescheduled, or cancelled by Dulcinea Charters due to weather, sea conditions, vessel availability, minimum numbers, marine life activity, guest safety, or operational requirements.

If Dulcinea Charters cancels the tour, we will offer an alternative date, credit, or refund of the eligible tour fare paid.

Refunds for online payments are less any non-refundable Rezdy booking fees, credit card fees, bank surcharges, and payment processing fees, and may take 7 to 14 business days to process.

Room Charge Bookings

If your booking was charged to your resort room, refund or credit requests must be processed through the relevant booking office or Dulcinea Charters office. The resort front office cannot issue a refund without approval.

Reef & Wildlife Safety Reminder

Snorkelling is vessel-supervised and subject to conditions. Please stay within the designated snorkel area, follow Captain and Crew instructions, and help protect the reef by not touching coral, standing on coral, feeding fish, chasing marine life, or collecting shells or marine creatures.

Dolphins, turtles, fish, and other marine life must be respected at all times. Guests must not touch, chase, feed, disturb, or attempt to enter the water with dolphins or turtles unless specifically approved and controlled by Dulcinea Charters.
